Privacy policy

We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t build profiles of visitors. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.

Like any website, our hosting provider handles technical request details such as your IP address and browser type to serve pages and keep the service secure. We don’t use these to identify you.

Signing in is optional. When you do, Google shares with us:

• your Google account ID (a number that identifies your account to us)
• your email address, and whether Google has verified it
• your name and the address of your profile picture

We use these only to sign you in and show that you’re signed in, and in future to keep things you choose to save, such as products and comparisons. We never receive your Google password, and we don’t ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.

Filtare’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We set cookies only for signing in:

• filtare_google_signin lasts ten minutes while you sign in, to protect the sign-in from forgery.
• filtare_session keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you sign out.

Both are strictly necessary for signing in. If you don’t sign in, neither is set.

We don’t sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising. It is processed only by the services that run Filtare: Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (our database, which is stored in Singapore).

When you follow a link to a retailer you leave Filtare, and that retailer’s own privacy policy applies. Some links are affiliate links. These tell the retailer that you came from Filtare, which may earn us a commission. We don’t pass them your account details.

Sign-in sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out. Your account details are kept until you ask us to delete them. To see, correct or delete your data, email privacy@filtare.com and we’ll act on it within 30 days.

You can also remove Filtare’s access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party connections.

Filtare is for parents and carers. Accounts are for adults, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
